Advantages and profitability of breweries

Microbreweries have appeared more 30 years ago in Europe. Then, in time of crisis of restaurant business, an original idea was occurred to someone from restaurant-keeper to attract visitors with show of brewing process directly at restaurant. Besides a show, visitors get an opportunity to taste just prepared beer of different types.

In contrast to the big factories which produce one or several types of beer, microbreweries allow, changing technology and raw material to make exclusive beer which can be tasted only at one restaurant. One more advantage is lively beer. It means, not pasteurized, not filtered, with the rests of yeast (they give to beer a turbid sediment, creating an illusion of the "misted over" glass), with all vitamins and minerals which make beer excellent and tasty remedy.

Whatever your brewing needs may be, The Micro Brew Company can supply you with custom built brewing systems designed to accommodate your yearly sales output forecast. Your yearly output figures can change due to the amount of fermenters you choose.

To figure out how many fermenters you need to produce your estimated yearly output of finished product, take the number of days you will use for your fermentation cycle (the fermentation process goes from a minimum of 14 days up to 30 days in a cycle) and divide this into the number of days in a year. For example: 365 divide by 14 = 26. This means that you would use each fermentation tank 26 times in year. Take this number and multiply it by the barrel size of the fermentation tank (1 American barrel=117.8 liters). If you have a 15 barrel fermentation tank, each fermenter would have a yearly output of 390 barrels. If you out opt for 4 fermenters in your brewing system, your yearly output would be 1,560 barrels.

Using a 14 day fermentation cycle and 4 fermenter tank configuration:

  • A 7-barrel system has a 728 barrel capacity per in year.
  • A 10-barrel system has a 1,040 barrel capacity per in year.
  • A 15-barrel system has a 1,560 barrel capacity per in year.
